The Romance issue was the second time I worked on a spread for Moda Magazine. This entire issue is about ~love~ from heartbreak to hopefulness to representation in the media. We decided to focus on the good, gentle, flowy feelings of love in our Flutter Spread. As always, the creative team and I put as much focus on the setting the scene as positioning and styling the models. The background is filled with flowers, butterflies, tulle, and everything light and airy, just like their clothing. I loved the idea of having these two models with similar hair types yet contrasting colors to create a yearning sort of unity between the two of them. A bit of yin and yang, if you will. I styled the models and the scene, directed the poses, as well as sourced the models and coordinated with the entire team.
