The Beacon Issue
This was definitely the peak of my MODA Magazine career and the issue I’m most proud of. I traded my Assistant Creative Director duties for Acting Creative Director and was able to fully take the reins on this project.
As soon as I found this parachute/ball game that matched the color palette, I immediately received a beacon of what to do for the shoot. With less than a month before graduating college, I wanted to emanate a shining light of hope, a celebration of the inner child, and a signal to slow down and stay present. Styled, directed, and modeled by me. And yes! The rumors are true! I did make the floral pants that I am wearing from a thrifted blanket. Not specifically for this shoot, but boy don’t they just match perfectly!
My team and I were awarded with the cover photo as well as the Buoyancy spread on pages 15-19.
